Capabilities
Tooling, stamping and the finishing work in between, under one roof in Frederick, Colorado.

Frontier is a stamping shop that builds its own tools. That is the whole shape of the business, and it is why the list below reads the way it does: the die work and the production work are not two companies talking to each other, they are two rooms with a door between them.
A print comes in, an engineer reads it and says what will fight the tool, a die maker builds the tool, and the part runs on a press forty feet away. When something goes wrong at tryout it gets fixed the same week, because nobody has to ship a die across the country to find out what happened.
What we do
Precision Tooling & Die Build
Progressive, multi-slide and single-hit dies designed and built in our own tool room. Pay for the tool once and you never pay for it again.

Presses from 6 to 260 tons, single-stroke through high-speed coil-fed production, plus the secondary work that turns a stamping into a finished part.
Read moreProgressive Die Stamping
One strip, many stations, a finished part every stroke. The right answer once the annual quantity justifies the tool.

Tight, repeatable features held across long runs, verified against your print before the parts ship.
Read moreMulti-Slide Stamping
Two US Baird #28 multi-slides for wire and strip parts that would need several operations on a press.

Read moreThe part of this that matters most
You pay for a tool once, when the parts coming off the press are acceptable to you. After that, as long as the part design does not change, you never pay us for that tool again. Setups, maintenance, sharpening, storage and complete rebuilds are covered. If it wears out after four million hits, we rebuild it.
That is not an upsell or a service contract. It is how every job here is quoted, and it is the single biggest difference between working with us and working with a shop that sends its die work out.
Who we make parts for
The same presses run defense hardware, medical instruments, riflescope springs, cooler hinges and lawn aerator tines. Nine industries, one shop.
Send us a print
Tell us the part, the material and the annual quantity. We will come back with a straight answer on tooling, lead time and price.
Open Monday through Friday.
